The Co. Fleadh is a week-long festival of Traditional Music, Song and Dance. It is the biggest gathering of musicians and followers of traditional music within the county and is always a very enjoyable occasion.

There is a wide variety of events organised and something for everyone. The main business of the Fleadh is the competitions which run all day on Saturday19th in St Mary’s Primary School, they are for all age groups and all traditional instruments. The competitions always provide excellent quality and are open to the public. Due to the large numbers the group competitions will continue on Sunday in The Parish Centre
Although the competitions provide the main focus for the fleadh, there are many other events organised, the Fleadh Concert on Friday brings together a vast array of talent, the concert will be based on the theme ‘Passing on the Culture’
Village ‘G’ day is a special feature of this year’s fleadh. It is based on the current TnaG’s series - all local businesses & community are encouraged to learn and use at least one small phrase in Irish. A small sub-committee has been set up to help with this.
