'Trad for Trocaire' 2011 Raises £900

Wednesday, October 12, 2011
Trocaire teamed up with Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Eireann to run 'Trad for Trócaire', a national fundraising initiative which was launched for the first time last September 2010. Musicians and venues around the country were encouraged to hold a traditional Irish or folk music session in aid of Trócaire.

Portglenone CCE done their bit and raised a staggering £900.00. The Junior Irish Traditional Musicians busked at O'Neill's Costcutters in Portglenone on Saturday the 1st of October from 10am to 12pm and they then played at the local St Mary's Parish Church in Portglenone after the Saturday night vigil mass on the 1st October and also after the Sunday morning mass on the 2nd October.

Thank you for all the support of our young musicians and also for supporting Trocaire by donating whatever you could manage during the busking sessions.

Thank you for your generosity.
