Holiday makers and locals alike can sample authentic Irish culture at Sesiún in Dun Uladh regional centre in Co.Tyrone.Seisiún 2015 ar fud na tíre le Comhaltas Ceoltóirí Éireann- ag saothrú an Chultúir Ghaelaigh Dun Uladh Summer Seisiún is in full swing again with our authentic show of Irish music, song, stories and dance. The together the very best and most talented musicians from across Ulster.
This is one of the longest running Summer shows of its kind – now upwards on 35 years in existence– Seisiún attracts increasing visitors from overseas and nearer home with a show that captivates its audience and welcomes their participation. Comahltas Seisiún provides a unique traditional entertainment experience at over 50 venues throughout Ireland during July and August. It is a staged show of Irish music, song, dance and storytelling followed by an informal session with audience participation where all who wish to ‘take to the floor’.
This years Seisiún will feature the king of Cavan, Irish Music legend, renowned button accordion player Martin Donohoe as Fear a’Tí along, Michael Kerr (Fiddle) Lorena Maguire (Flute) Kieran Leonard (Bodhran) and Tomas Quinn (Banjo) members of the Knockmore Ceili Band who are 2014 All Ireland Senior Ceili Band Champions. Tyrone’s finest all Ireland musicians Mark Mc Crystal (Piano), Ryan Hacket (Piano Accordion), Karl Sweeney (Fiddle), James Mc Kenna (Concertina) Ciara Fox (Voice). Monaghan multi award winning Harpist Nadina Markey and many more…
This year shows starts at 8pm in Dun Uladh regional cultural centre on Tue 4th and 18th August 2015. Tickets £5.00.
