The Passing of Harry O'Neill

It is with deep sadness and regret that our friend, musician, Comhaltas member and tutor, Harry O’Neill has sadly passed away. Harry had been our Tin Whistle/Flute Tutor for over 30 years at our classes every Monday Night and also a Lead Mentor at our Wednesday Evening Junior Sessions held in The Wild Duck for the last 18 years.
A passionate and talented musician, a lifelong supporter of Portglenone CCE, Harry O'Neill was, and is, an example to all Irish Traditional musicians.
Always supportive of our Junior Sessions on Wednesday evenings in The Wild Duck and our annual sessions and events, Harry will be sadly missed by all of us, especially the CCE Junior members who enjoyed his presence and support (as you can see from the photo!!)
We at Portglenone Comhaltas and the wider Comhaltas community would like to extend our sincere condolences to the O’Neill family at this time. Harry’s passing is a huge loss to his family and all that knew and loved him.
