Ar gCeol Concert

Friday, May 28, 2010
Those of you who made it to see 'Àr gCeol' play in The ‘Riverside Suite’ of The WILD DUCK INN on Friday 28th May 2010 were left in awe after what was one of the most remarkable concerts hosted so far by Portglenone CCE.

Just like the Tipperary Ensemble visit back in February, the range of music, song and dance was spectactular. The large crowd in attendance were thrilled to witness such a fine display of Irish culture.

The concert was followed by a couple of Sessions in various 'nooks and crannies' in The Wild Duck itself and these continued well into the wee hours.

Àr gCeol are an exciting traditional group with the best of Fermanagh's (and Tyrone's) talent who are guaranteed to deliver a show stopping performance. This group emerged in 2004 and from then, the young group have grown and become a very popular vibrant group. Many of the musicians have been awarded many titles throughout the years from county level right up to All Ireland level. They have displayed their musical talent not only in Ireland but also abroad and some have performed with Comhaltas Tour Groups.
